Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling work for TutorMax classes and subscriptions. By booking a trial or purchasing a plan, you agree to this policy in addition to ourTerms of Service andPrivacy Policy.
1) Definitions
- “Class” means a scheduled live session conducted by a TutorMax tutor.
- “Trial class” means a free 40‑minute introductory session.
- “Plan” means a paid subscription (for example, 1‑on‑1 monthly package).
2) Trial classes
- Trials are free and carry no obligation to purchase.
- Trials may be rescheduled once with at least 12 hours’ notice.
- No refunds apply to a free trial. Missed trials can be rebooked at TutorMax’s discretion.
3) Refunds for paid plans
- Cooling‑off: Full refund within 7 days of purchase if no classes have been consumed.
- Pro‑rata refunds: If classes have been consumed, refunds are prorated against the remaining, unused classes in that billing cycle.
- Non‑refundable items: Completed classes and expired credits are not refundable.
- Fees: Payment gateway charges, if any, are non‑refundable and may be deducted from the refund.
4) Cancellations & no‑shows
- By student: Cancel at least 12 hours before class to avoid being marked as consumed.
- No‑shows or late cancellations: Less than 12 hours’ notice counts as a consumed class.
- By TutorMax: If we cancel due to tutor unavailability or operational issues, the class will be rescheduled or credited back.
5) Rescheduling
- Reschedule at least 12 hours before class, subject to tutor availability.
- Frequent rescheduling may impact tutor allocation and is subject to reasonable limits.
6) Platform outages & technical issues
- Verified platform outages or tutor-side technical failures will not be counted as consumed and will be rescheduled or credited.
- Student-side connectivity issues are assessed case‑by‑case; a courtesy reschedule may be offered.
7) Refund processing time
- Approved refunds are initiated within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
- Bank or gateway timelines may vary by provider and are outside TutorMax’s control.

9) Governing law & venue
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
